Review from notes.
Poured from a crowler into a hotel cardboard coffee cup. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly biscuit malt, citrus hops, orange, pine and some floral notes. Flavor follows with biscuit malt, citrus and floral hops, orange, light grapefruit and pine, wildflower hay and faint mixed tropical fruit. Nice finishing bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Stopped by Sparky's in Salem to get a crowler of one of their ales and spotted this unknown-to-me coastal brewery on their taplist and after trying a taster of this pale ale ordered another crowler. Unfortunately, the keg blew with only 2/3 filled, but I sprang for it anyway, deciding to drink it immediately that night. I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, the room didn't have a glass or even plastic cup, so I had to add a new glass to my database "hotel room cardboard coffee cup". Not ideal, but worked OK. It may have been the hot day, bumper-to-bumper freeway traffic (2 hours to go 35 miles) talking, but this pale ale really hit the spot. The base malt was lightly to moderately biscuity and this almost felt like one of the modern English bitters hopped with North American hops. The hops bill was very appealing, mostly citrus, but with pleasant light floral, pine and mild fruit elements. Named just "pale ale" on the taplist, this might well be the same as their Nelscott Pale Ale listed on Untappd. Since it is now off-tap, I have no way to know, but the hop profile tasted similar. I will check out other beer from this brewery if I see them again.
