Pint on tap at the Ramuri hotel/restaurant in downtown Cabo San Lucas. A lemon yellow colored brew with two fingers of fizzy, slightly creamy white bubbles on top. Aroma of sourdough bread, fresh straw, low key white grapes, grass, a hint of lime rind. Aggressively carbonated but otherwise a classic Czech mouthfeel, a little slick and buttery. Well perfumed by Saaz hops, herbs galore with a near mustard-like spiciness. Robust malts that initially evoke grape nut cereal, a sweetness quickly expunged by palate-scrubbing grassy hops. Crisp and slightly pungent but finishes crystal clean. Minimal sweetness. All in all a well-crafted take on the style, out of a brewing textbook really. Could feature just a touch more sweetness.
