16 oz can from near the brewery in Brevard NC and enjoyed in the nearby Pisgah Mountain Campground. Canning date of 19 January 2022 is stamped on the bottom of the can.
Appearance. Opaque, essentially black body with a good beige head. Reddish-brown edges appear when held to the light.
Notes of coffee, dark roasted grains and bittersweet chocolate dominate this stout, with subtle notes of vanilla and toffee. Rich, bitter and complex for the style with near full body.
Overall. Bravo for making a "big" stout with just 5.5% ABV.
