Presentation: 12oz clear bottle. No clear best before date. Cap reads "Live de life. Drink de beer. - Foxy"

Appearance: Crystal clear pale golden with a frothy 1/2" white head. Falls to a mere tiny bubbled whisp of a lace within minutes.

Smell: Sweet, light palte malts, floral nose with fruity esters. Mild husk aroma in the background.

Taste: Light-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Sweetness is thin, but there's some nice fruit in the profile. A bit tropical, with a dextrin sweetness for a foundation. Hops break about halfway with a refreshing lemon entrance and semi-floral finish. Rather clean in the finish with a touch of grain dryness.

Notes: A very refreshing and quenching lager. Ranks up there with Red Stripe, as far as Carribean lagers go. http://www.foxyslager.com

On tap at Foxy's Taboo in the British Virgin Islands.

A - Poured a deep yellow hue, almost copper or amber. It had a small, white head that left some lace.

S - It had a somewhat floral aroma. Also, grain smells.

T - Despite the style I did NOT taste corn. It had a light caramel maltiness and a sweet kick.

M - It was crisp and smooth. A light-bodied lager.

D - This is a pretty good lager. Much better than I expected.

Not bad for the style. Distinctly golden with a nice rush of carbonation when the bottle opens. Clear and golden. Odd: there are chunks of something floating around in the bottle...coagulated yeasties that somehow didn't get filters? Malts? Hmm. No matter. Flavor is lightly lemon, lightly malty, lightly sweetened. A little on the thin side but nicely quenching. Hit the spot last night on a humid day. Thanks again to my dad, who is always searching for ways to help me improve and expand the beer bottle collection.
