this was listed at 8.3% abv when i was in last week, one of their bigger ipa types. this is done with centennial, citra, and simcoe, so i was surprised its as unique as it is overall, the combination is common now, but here it seems softer, fruitier, and less assertively bitter, i really like what they did with the hops overall. its citra in front of the other two for me both in nose and taste, but light juniper and spruce and grapefruit and green tea back it up, and this is well rounded and dynamic to me. the base beer itself isnt quite as refined as i want it to be, maybe unintentionally hazy, denser than just unfiltered to me in the glass, and a little heavy feeling when i drink it, i couldnt have a ton of this, even though i like the hop profile so much, its filling the way these big hazy ones can be. the fermentation is pretty clean, but this could stand to be a little drier overall, at least for my tastes. the citra pops with freshness though, the centennial adds a cool pine forest element thats cool around holiday time, and overall its another solid hoppy beer from these guys, who seems to do a great job with these styles. it was awesome checking this place out, super humble spot with a massive and thoughtful selection of beers, i liked all i had!

Slightly cloudy golden with a loose white head, but nice retention and lacing. Easy drinking, well balanced, and just a bit of hop bitterness on the finish. One of new favorite local IPAs.
