Review from notes scribbled down at the tasting room.
Pretty sure this beer is just called Octave IPA. The sign (or rather sticker) on the tap handle said "Almost Gone!" in front of the name on my last visit because it's, well, almost gone. Anyway...
Pint served at the Twelve String taproom for what I think was $5. It's a one-off brew, an IPA brewed with Amarillo and Mosaic hops and a Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast.
Cloudy, orange-amber color.
Mid level bitterness, citrusy flavors. Midway through the yeast makes itself known with an earthy and clove-like flavor. Very "clove-y" aftertaste.
Extremely drinkable. I hope they make this again. I was in Christmas saving mode, so I couldn't justify buying a growler to take home (and Twelve String's growler prices are a bit dear), but I'd love to have more of this.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
