i believe i have the right beer here, on tap at the satellite diner in spokane, they just called it the twelve string hazy. im not sure ive had a session type this robust before, its as dry hopped as any heavier ipa in the style it seems, and the body is super full and round, this drinks way more sturdy than it should, the only thing session about it is the abv. its almost milky in my pint glass, super raw and cloudy and unrefined looking, a little dull in luster too, but the head is creamy like its come from a nitro faucet, and the lace and retention are both great. the aroma and flavor mirror one another, with some neat tropical fruity layers of coconut flesh, ripe mango, pineapple, and papaya, but there is also some greenness here, a bitter, piney bite that suggests it might be a little over hopped, its not quite harsh, and is still way more juicy than anything else, but the level of refinement is off just a bit. i like the boldness though, and i think there is enough grain body and character to balance it, even though this is as low alcohol as it is. i think ill need to have a few more from these guys before i form any strong opinions, this has a lot going for it, but also could use some cleaning up. it was honestly almost filling for what it is too, and sat heavy in the belly, even with only a salad for dinner. ill try more of their stuff when i am back in the area later this month!
