16oz crowler can purchased at the brewery. No date on the can, but presumably canned recently. Here's a description of the beer, taken from Untapped and presumably from the brewery: "Northwest style IPA. Brewed by Ashley [an employee of Twelve String]. Brewed with pineapple sugars. The sugars have been fermented out leaving a very sbutle hint of pineapple. Hopped with Cascade and Centennial hops. Dry hopped with Azzaca."
Poured into a shaker pint glass, this was a somewhat chill-hazed golden amber color, with a thin, off-white head. Said head dropped rather quickly, leaving spotty lace.
Modestly citrusy hop aromas. There is a pineapple-like sweetness as well, but it's pretty weak.
Flavor is a little more pineapple-y than the nose, but the biggest part of the taste is an old school, grapefruity and piney west coast style hoppiness. As it warms, I get a little bit of an astringent, lemony flavor as well. Crackery malt backbone. Dry at the swallow.
Body is somewhere between thin and medium, with a somewhat watery mouthfeel.
An okay, "joosy" take on a west coast IPA. Perhaps it was a little old, or maybe it wasn't canned as well as it could be. A lot of places that don't normally package their beer to go are still finding their feet in this new reality we're all living in. Still, while perfectly drinkable (unlike some beers I've had recently), it's not something I'd rush out to try again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
