Cask. Banbury Beer Fest' 2018. Tawny in colour. Not much head.
Light aroma of English hops and malt.
Well rounded flavour that reflects the smell. Somewhat earthy with hints of caramel and treacle.
An enjoyable and traditional English Bitter.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Nov 2014. Acquired not long back from Trembling Madness in York. The label describes it as a tawny best bitter brewed with English hop varieties.
Poured into a tulip pint glass. Bottle conditioned. A very hazy brownish-amber hue with fine sediment and medium carbonation. Produces a huge head of fluffy off-white foam that lasts for a while before collapsing to a thick surface layer. Nice lacing. Aroma of mild fruity hops, grass/hay, earthy yeast and faint caramel. A slight mustiness in the background.
Tastes of subtle fruity hops and dry yeast, with a mild finish. Notes of grass, hay, faint white grape, a twinge of citrus, earthy yeast and caramel malt. Well-attenuated, with a yeasty character and a meek bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and dry, with soft carbonation and OK body. Sticks to the palate. Lightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of earthy yeast, faint fruity hops and caramel.
Rather average; in fact this might be the most disappointing Arbor brew I've tried. Looks cloudy, with an aroma and flavour dominated by yeast and mild hop notes. Little bitterness to speak of. Body is OK but flat and textureless. A hum-drum offering - too yeasty and lacking in depth of character. Not brilliant; feel free to give it a miss.
