A 500ml bottle with a BB of June 2014, so it's rather out of date. Purchased a while back from Trembling Madness in York. The label describes it as a golden session beer late-hopped with Amarillo, Cascade and Nelson Sauvin.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. Bottle conditioned. A hazy golden-amber hue with plentiful fine sediment and good carbonation. Yields a large head of fluffy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding and eventually disappearing.
S: Aroma of fruity hops with hints of white grape, citrus, mild peel, grass/hay, earthy yeast, caramel malt and subtle stewed hops. Quite nice but faded.
T: Tastes of light fruity hops and yeast with a dry finish. Notes of mild grapefruit, citrus, subtle peel, white grape, grass/hay, earthy yeast, caramel malt and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a subdued, spicy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of dry, earthy yeast, mild fruity hops and stewed leaves/cardboard.
O: Not bad, though certainly past its best. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are a mix of faded aromatic hops, earthy yeast and mild malt. Body is OK. It hints at its original character, which must have been quite intense. Shame I didn't find it sooner....
