Very dark orange, average foam. Beautiful color, bright and clean.
In the smell red fruit, orange marmelade, vanilla, tannins. Fruit in syrup, apricot.
Essentially malty taste, with hazelnut and almond. Again stone fruit, apricot.
Herbal and piney hops in the aftertaste. Raisins and dry figs.

330 ml bottle, Southville Deli, Bristol - Pours clear amber with a medium white foamy head which disappears after a while to a lace. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing in the snifter. Aroma - dried fruits, stoned fruits, burnt sugar, caramel. Taste - Sweet, stoned fruits, berries, medium bitter finish with a nice small alcoholic warmth. Nice barley wine.

L - Amber colour with a huge white head
S - nice smell with maple syrup, oak, toffee, some funkiness
T - a bit less exciting than the smell. Very acidic, woodiness, lemon
M - High carbonation for a barleywine, not very smooth
O - Okay barleywine but I was hoping for something better
