Half cask pour at Kelham Island Tavern. Golden pour, creamy white head. Light fruity aroma and taste with a creamy feel. Actually, pretty nice for a GF beer.

56.8 cl can (€5 from the pub fridge).
It's a Gluten Free Pale Ale hopped only with Mosaic hops.
When poured, it immediately releases fruity notes among which citrus aromas (orange peel, grapefruit) stand out.
Deep blonde color, slightly sheer.
In the mouth, a more structured body than I expected, but still very drinkable.
Carbonation present, but very light (perhaps too much).
In the mouth, the citrus flavors that were felt on the nose are found, with other more tropical and summer fruit notes (passion fruit, melon, white peach) to make the drink soft and tasty.
When the beer remains in the glass to dissolve for a while, then light (very light) cereal notes of malt can be heard in the background.
The finish is dry, not bitter but adequate for an English-style Pale Ale with American hops.
Very tasty, easy to drink and satisfying, shame about too light carbonation.

Poured from a pint can. Nice, even pour, pleasantly carbonated without the over exaggerated, soapy head. Instant notes of pine and citrus upon opening, head fades quickly enough. Bubbly, blight feel, much lighter than expected and it's actually a nice change. Not as hoppy as advertised but again, not a bad thing. Without being overly complex, I really found it quite refreshing.

568ml can from Redmonds (£4.50):
Light amber with a thin bubbly head & translucent body. There's light malts & biscuit with citrus & pine hops but it's fairly light. It's a tangy taste with citrus, pine & biscuit malts without it being anything special.

L- The can has been handled carefully and chilled, still it managed to overflow when being opened; not a good first impression. Pours a hazy mid-gold with a huge white head... so I have to hold off pouring 1/2 way and leave the can to rest.
S- Ah ok, so it's a hipster beer.. it smells like a citrus fruit salad + lychees, frankly it's weird IMO. You pay for a beer and end up with a perfumed alco-pop version of Lilt or Tango.
T- The taste closely follows the smell. The taste is too prominent versus the 4%ABV so the feel is noticably thin on the palate. The second effect of this is the high carbonation makes CO2 on the palate too prominent and leads to a 'carbonic' soda-water dry feel.
F- If you could buy a no sugar/sweetener version of Lilt and then mixed it 50/50 with soda water, I honestly believe it wouldn't come out too different to this beer.
O- In the absense of things like roasted grain and malts here are grapefruit and lychee instead. I can finish the glass but I am left wondering who and why anyone would knowingly buy a drink that tastes like this.
Bought from Marks + Spencer, London W8. £2.20/330ml can. BB: 03/07/20.
