1st Aug 2013: hand-pulled half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates.
Black with a good sized off-white crown.
Roasted malts fill the nose and taste buds, slightly sweet, but with a bitter undertone, this is a well balanced and well make beer.
Rich, creamy and flavoursome: my kind of brew, pity it was a hot sticky evening and not really suited to a Porter, even if this is supposed to be a Summer one.
