On tap at le Court-Circuit, Lyon, France.

L - amber with a big white head that lingers

S - very fruity, mango, pineapple, some citrus

T - I'm disapointed after the good smell. Mostly on the malts even if the hop bitterness is present. The yeast is there too

F - okay mouthfeel

O - an okay French DIPA, don't expect a hop bomb

0,33L/33cL bottle. I found this beer in Les Fleurs du Malt in Lyon, then saw it in another craft beer shop.

A - Pours a deep copper body, slightly cloudy. About a finger-worth of foam. Good head retention, not much carbonation can be seen. Reminds me of DFH 90 min.

S - A bit of citrus, quite a bit of caramel and even more tropical fruits. The aroma is not all that intense, but this beer certainly smells good.

T - Well hopped, with grapefruit and some tropical fruit notes. Packs a good hop bite. Well bitter, though not over the top. Well balanced by the malts, with a nice sweet caramel note in the finish. There is a pronounced yeast taste that probably shouldn't be there and a noticeable phenolic character.

M - Medium-to-thick body. Moderately carbonated. The alcohol can be both felt and tasted; however, I would not call it boozy. The ABV is not very high for a Double IPA, and so the drinkability on this beer is fairly high.

O - As far as the style goes, this is a bit off (due to the yeast/phenolic character). This is a good-tasting hoppy beer nonetheless. Interesting to see something like this come out of France, a country that very few people would associate with beer.
