Really wanted to like this place. I just couldn't. While the atmosphere was nice and the food was better than good, the beer was just really off. First the food: we both ordered the potato soup and it was really good. Really good!! Now the beer: the belgian IPA I ordered tasted like wort. There was no carbonation at all. I actually asked to return it and felt bad about that. It just wasn't drinkable. I replaced it with the Patchwork Pale Ale. It was just ok. The IDA also ordered was atleast carbonated just nothing special. The place is new so I'll come back again to give her another try.

This is a new brewery just getting started a couple of months ago. We were there in mid-afternoon on a Sunday (they are only open on weekends for now) so it was slow, and the service was great. There were 6 beers listed on the menu but only 5 were available, and we ordered a sampler flight to go along with our food.
The beers were okay to good, but for the most part they were just off from their listed beer style. The IPA tasted more like a Pale, and the Black IPA (which is listed on the menu as an India Dark Ale - IDA) tasted more like a Stout with a level of roastiness that I have not experienced in an IDA before (but I really liked this one). The brewer was there so we had a chance to talk with her. She is a former homebrewer, and is still tweaking the recipes and looking for new ones to add. Being a small brewery there likely will not be a large number on tap at any time.
The food was very good. Sandwiches and pizza are the main offerings. The sandwiches had unique combinations of deli meats and condiments and that's what we ordered, but I think the pizzas also had some unique topping combinations. Service was good because of our timing for being there, but this is a small town so the crowds likely won't be large most of the time anyway.
This was a nice stop to see this new brewery, and we hope to get back there someday for a 'past and present' comparison.
