Looks like a stout should, brown and opaque. Careful pouring or you'll get a massive khaki head, which looks nice but dissipates relatively quickly, leaving good lacing. Reasonably complex, roasted malt/coffee/cocoa aroma. A bit on the sweet side but not cloyingly so, with caramel and slight coffee notes. Decent mouthfeel (for the OG) and lingering aftertaste. I know some would be (wrongly) offended, but this would make an amazing stout float, with a scoop of artisan vanilla (not from the outset--enjoy most of it and just save a bit).

Pours a very dark brown with a medium sized dark caramel head on top. Smells exactly like a fresh baked oatmeal raisin cookie! Very sweet. Very watered down taste of a cream ale.

Pours a deep brown with nice bubbly head that dissipates fairly slowly. Appears to be a little thinner than expected.
Aroma is dominated by roasted malts. A hint of coffee and baking chocolate. Oatmeal cookie isn’t brought to moms, but it does smell very nice.
The oatmeal cookie promised in the name comes out in the sip. It sneaks up on you though as a series of flavour hints poking out periodically through the sip to the swallow. There is a little coffee as well. No sweetness that one would associate with a ‘cookie, stout.
The body is light, thin even, but not watery. Very drinkable.
This was nice, and not quite as expected. The lack of sweetness was very welcome. The cookie standing in the background made this quite drinkable in a way that a ‘pastry’ attempt at this idea would not be.
