Gets an extra quarter for the cranberry hue. I dont mind being above BAer on this fall seasonal as I'd take it alongside any APA (Dales) or over most any fruit beer (pumpkin squash). I'm returning to this.
a) Clear amber mahogany body, that sprouts a tan head and leaves lots of spidery lacing on the glass.
s) Tart cranberry nose, completely natural, that evokes fall leaves, orchard, fall earth, with herbal hop and malt and whole graininess.
t) Bright and juicy hop bitterness blends with the slight tartness of the cranberry.
f) Smooth with a medium body. Well balanced, easy drinking for a slightly bigger brew. Lovely finish.
o) Beats almost all winter warmers, and all pumpkin beers. Savoring the cranberry after, almost wine-like that way. One of the great cold-season beers.

Look - amber color with a solid two finger head and lacing. Excellent
Smell - cranberries, some hops
Taste - initial bitterness followed by a smooth fruity and wheat finish. almost more like an amber ale than an APA
Feel - medium bodied, medium carbonation, on the stronger side (7% ABV) but fairly easy to drink
Overall - With the fruitiness, and the wheat flavor, this beer feels like a fusion of an amber ale/fruit beer/pale ale. Hoppy, fairly strong, but still refreshing and easily enjoyable

12 oz can. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, cranberries and caramel malt. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal hops, red fruit and caramel malt fill the mouth. Finish is long and herbal. Good brew.

Gorgeous, glowing mahogany red. Clear with two fingers of creamy head and heavy lacing.
Neutral malt. Amber ale smelling.
Bizarre. It's thick, vaguely bitter, and very sweet. Malty, amberish, with only a hint of sourness that's not immediately identifiable as cranberry. Lots of sugars, a touch of roast, and a earthy aftertaste.
I think this beer suffers from its style designation. Not really a "pale ale" in any meaningful way. Or a fruit beer. Or an IPA. Maybe this is why "Amber/Red Ale" exists, because it could literally be anything. Including this. All the same, toothsome enough, in a substantial, English way.

S: cranberry and orange;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; very mild bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

12oz can, sample from the brewery. Clear amber hued brew, excellent show of lacing on the glass. Tart berry nose with some herbal hop and bready graininess. Very smooth within a medium body. Semi-aggressive hop bitterness melds well with the earthy tartness of the cranberries, hint of alcoholic fruity esters. Very well balanced, easy drinking for a slightly bigger brew. A fall seasonal but I'd prefer to see cranberry ales through the start of winter rather than a bunch of pumpkin ales.

Had it on tap at Rose's pizza in Penn Station, NYC; pours reddish amber color with a foamy 1 finger light tan head that faded about average time and left decent spotty lacing.
Smells of malt, total malt nose with sweetness like bread with caramel or French toast. Some fruity notes, but the malty sweetness dominates in an English pale ale way in my opinion that negated the attempt to showcase the cranberries.
The brewery website states it's "A fall seasonal brewed with cranberries giving this pale ale a subtle tart finish." I didn't get the tart finish or any real taste of the cranberries, but the flavor did have more fruity notes to go along with the sweet malts and caramel. Very basic malty pale ale with some herbal and earthy notes in the taste as well.
The brewery website also states "Plus, it’s super fun to yell “Bog Smash”, so hope you enjoy!" - I agree here, it was fun to order two beers and yell “Bog Smash” and have people look at you strangely. A decent beer worth trying.

Had it on tap at the Pier I Cafe, NYC. It poured an amber base with a strong cranberry red hue. A frothy and foamy crown retained beautifully. It's look is it's best attribute.
Mild aroma of cranberries and then, mostly biscuit malt.
I was intrigued by and ordered this beer because I was expecting a unique cranberry infused taste. Instead, the taste was mostly hop forward. It was herbal, leafy, some charred taste and moderate to high bitterness. The lingering aftertaste felt a bit off. Only as it warmed and towards the end did I get some cranberry as well as malt sweetness. It is a medium bodied beer with tight and prickly carbonation.
I was a bit dissapounted in this one because I was expecting something else.
