Look - poured from a 12 oz can, purchased directly from the brewery. Dark black, about a one finger head with a trace of lacing in the end. Not much carbonation.
Smell - Robust, strong coffee flavor. Considerable smokiness as well, likely from the aging process. A trace of sweetness.
Taste - just like in the smell, strong coffee flavor is complemented by a smoky vanilla creaminess. Flavors of dark chocolate and dried fruits comes through in the taste as well. a dry and slightly tart finish.
Feel - full bodied and then some. actually contains a fair bit of carbonation. For a 10 percenter, this is about as smooth as it can get.
Overall - a successful barrel-aged stout that is big on coffee flavor. A heavy beer that is dangerously easy to drink.
