Clear golden color. Medium-sized, white head. Malt. corn and grass in the aroma. Malty taste with moderate hoppy bitterness. Decent, refreshing lager.

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy straw gold colored body beneath an inch and a half or so of bright white foam. The head retention does not appear to be very good as I can already see it dropping. The aroma is floral and citrusy. I'd say it smells like lime. How'd they get that aroma? It doesn't say anything on the label about flavorings or ingredients. A quick trip via the internet to their website suggests that it's coming from Motueka hops which give citrusy and tropical aromas and lemon and lime flavors with a little bit of spiciness. OK! Maybe then the name makes more sense as "que milagro" means what a miracle in Spanish. To note, there's also Hallertauer in there which is probably contributing the floral side. On to the flavor... it's much fuller with a healthy dose of tropical fruit. I'd say papaya, lime, peach, guava, passion fruit, and light mango. I think the website listed it as having 35 IBUs which sounds about right. There's some sweet malt to it but it's balanced with the bitterness coming forward in the end. I wish it had been filtered but I'm guessing at the same time that they did that to preserve the integrity of the dry-hops. So what else? In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. I feel like it could have a little more carbonation to it but it's not bad. Oh, the head retention and lacing - the head retention was better than I thought it would be, and there's a nice thin veil of lace laid across the inside of the glass. It's not quite a 4 out of 5 but it's close. Overall it's pretty interesting, and that keeps it drinkable. I could certainly have two of these in a row without losing interest in it. It's also unique. It's not at all what I was expecting, which was just another American-made "Mexican" lager as so many breweries are putting them out these days. I'd say it's worth trying.

Pours almost clear yellow color with a slight haze and a 3 finger thick white foamy head that was packed with bubbles, dissipating very slowly and basically no lacing. Smells like cereal, lemon zest, toasted grains, vegetables, light floral notes, a dash of caramel or brown sugar sweetness and citrus fruit. Above average on both fronts for this style.
Tastes better than it smells with some buttery biscuit, light peppery spices and more citrus notes in addition to the cereal, lemon zest, toasted grains, vegetables, light floral notes, and brown sugar. Very easy to drink, this is a much better option than its macro product peers.
