In the action packed streets of the Big Apple, you have two choices. You can fold when the going gets tough, or you can step up and compete with the best of the best. The latter asks you to navigate unfamiliar environments with nothing but what you picked up along this road we call life. In other words, this city favors the Streetwise. After almost a decade in NYC, our brewers have taken that to heart and we present this Imperial IPA as a result. For a 9.5% brew, it's balanced, but includes a bold 10 hop bill that delivers a wide range of herbal and stone fruit-forward flavors. What are you waiting for? Wise up and grab your next 6-Pack of Streetwise.

Malt Bill: Briess Full Pint Brewer’s Malt, Briess Red Wheat, Simpsons Golden Naked Oats, Flaked Oats.
Hop Bill: Caliente, Calypso, Cascade, Centennial, Comet, NZ Dr. Rudi, Exp 04190, Exp 07270, El Dorado, Idaho 7.

Hazy, orange color. Medium-sized, white head. Caramel malt, pine, stone, and tropical fruits in the aroma. Strong hoppy bitterness balanced by malty sweetness.

My favorite IPA from Bronx Brewery. Excellent look on the pour. Tons of citrusy IPA flavors.

Maybe because it was it was my last beer I tried on a tasting night but this beer didn’t do it for me. Wasn’t terrible but if you’re gonna push 10 on the abv scale it can’t be this heavy handed on the alcohol taste.

Served in a tulip glass from the bottle.

Appearance: Hazy amber with medium bubbles creating an off white head rising about one finger's length off the body.

Smell: Light floral and touch piney.

Taste: Complex sweet and malty brew. Reminds me a bit of pineapple and heavy malts.

Mouth: full body with medium carbonation.

Overall: Honestly might be my favorite or second favorite beer from Bronx Brewery. Though totally different brews, I just had a can of World Gone Hazy and seems likes an upgrade. Good good, quality brew. Salud.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a Sam Adams custom taster; no production date, code 90511B1BE.
A: Pours a very hazy, amber color with a two to three finger, off-white head, cap retention, and rings of foamy lacing. Lots of tiny yeast floaters.
S: Aromas of barley, caramel, lemon, white pepper, and sweet hay.
T: Sweet. Flavors follow the nose, but sweetness seems a touch more derived from, say cane sugar: trying to describe a tutti-fruity back end note. Very balanced bitterness and surprisingly not boozy at all.
M: Medium to full bodied with solid, strong carbonation. Rather easy drinking for such a high ABV.
O: I though this was a remarkably subtle and enjoyable AIIPA at first, which kicked me in the head like a mule with its big ABV. Yeah, I'll have it again. Kudos, Bronx Brewery.

5th review. BX always original, a fave. But this one weird. Took till 1/20 to make NJ WFM.
a) Pours almost a plum like color, hazed body with white ring head and ample lace.
s) Strange plummy fruit nose.
t) 10 hops no doubt mount a melange of flavors with none really standing out. Peach, plum, overripe stone fruit, melon, with fruit punch qualities and just enough hop bitters to tighten up the thick fruit shake.
f) Creamy, plummy, nectar like body. Chewy, weighty.
o) Too weird and strong in the end to enjoy more than a few. 1 beer night.

Pours orange with 1/4 inch cream-colored head, which quickly dissipates. Minimal lacing. Cloudy.

Aroma of tangerines and other tropical fruits. Slight pine.

Taste is fruity, citrusy, piney.

Full bodied, thick and slightly oily. Light carbonation. Dry finish.

An unusual IPA, fruity and mildly bitter. A Hawaiian Punch for grown ups.

Poured from a 12oz into a pint glass. Pours a dark yellowish brown and dare I say a hint of red with little yeast particles visible. Small amount of white head and prominent lacing around the glass. Smell seems to hint of berries on the crack of the can. Some pine and citrus also noticeable, quite bitter. Taste is more resiny than juicy. At 9.5 abv, alcohol is not too prevalent. Mouthfeel is a little harsh, feels heavy. Overall, interesting beer but not all that well put together.

Plenty of octane in this one, which I picked up as a single at Trader Joe's near where my parents live. I get a solid blast of pine and citrus throughout but the malt valance isn't quite as consistent. Still, for almost ten percent the alcohol isn't oppressive and there is a citrus juiciness that keeps it from being bone dry and boring. I would try this again.

Saw this in my local Big Deal Supermarket in a six pack. 12 ounce cans. Package date of 5/22/19. Couldn't pass it up.
Look: Hazy orange with a small soapy head.
Nose: Stone fruit, melon, hops, tangerine.
Taste: Peaches, melon, candied orange sherbert, some hints of pineapple and papaya. No trace of alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Medium to heavy. Slightly chewy. Carries a lot of weight here.

The web site states that the malt bill includes Golden Naked Oats and Flaked oats. Not getting much oat flavor, but you can pick up the creamy aspects. They also offer a 10 hop bill. The beer is definitely hoppy, but not anywhere near a hop bomb. Low IBU's as well. I believe around 42 IBU's. Good balance between the malts and hops.

Glad I picked this up. Drinks much lighter than a 9.5% DIPA. But a slow sipper for sure. I will buy again if I see it. This is a big beer at a very modest cost for a six pack. Probably my favorite from them.
