Look - poured into a 12 oz glass. red-brown in color, cloudy, and significant lacing retention that sticks to the glass.
Smell - dried fruits and chocolate, malty and caramel sweetness. smells to be a strong one.
Taste - malts, toffee, and a bit of cherry-like acidity. balanced well with hefty bitterness from hops that wasn't as detectable in the smell.
Feel - medium-full body, low carbonation, and decently strong at 7.5% ABV. Alcohol is not too masked.
Overall - a beautiful looking beer that has really bold flavors in all aspects. it's not my favorite style, but objectively speaking, a very nice one-off brew.

Note: my first 12 oz (355 ml) sticker can. Who knew that 16 cans didn't have the monopoly on these?
Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into Captain Lawrence, muffin top pint glass; no production information available.
A: Pours a cloudy, murky really, medium brown color with a one to two finger, off-white head, cap retention, but generous rings of complex, foamy lacing.
S: Fruity with orange, lemon, pineapple, and mango evident, as well as caramel with a hint of honeysuckle.
T: Semisweet. Flavor pallet follows the nose closely, although breadier, with more toffee and walnut. Relatively light bitterness leads to a surprisingly refreshing finish.
M: Medium bodied, although seems almost light, and moderate effervescence.
O: Really more of an American Brown Ale with high ABV, than an AIIPA, although clearly a hybrid of the two. Drinkable and quite refreshing: I am surprised at how much I am enjoying it, honestly, and I am really, really enjoying it. Would definitely have this again.

1st Review. Added by Act 25. My 20th beer of Bronx - a favorite local. NY water is best.
a) After so many haze bombs, it's refreshing to see another color than yellow murk, this one an almost chocolate red, sporting ample head and lasting lace.
s/t) What it lacks in AROMA, it over delivers on TASTE! Redtail like hops and malt aroma profile (*my first craft beer).
Massive flavors, none in the direction of grapefruit - at last! - Caramel, grass, melon, vanilla, spice cabinet, malt base, and a lovely bittering ending. None either in the direction of cola. This is great.
f) Creamy, yet astringent and scrubbing.
o) My favorite hazy DIPA at this moment.
