From 03/02/13 notes.

a - Pours a black color with one inch of dark tan head and low carbonation evident. Looks pretty nice.

s - Smells of roasted malts, sweet chocolate, coffee, some peppers and chilis, some bitter chocolate, and burnt malts. Pretty nice nose. I feel like it lots a lot of the hops I noticed in the normal version, but the peppers and spice is there, though not overpowering. I like it.

t - Tastes of roasted malts, hot chili peppers, spice, bitter chocolate, sweet chocolate, and some coffee. As it warms up the peppers and spiciness really comes out. Tiny bit too much and too hot for me.

m - Medium body and low carbonation. lot of spice as it warms up from the peppers.

o - Overall a pretty interesting and nice beer. I like the normal version better but this is pretty fun and the peppers definitely add a lot to it. I liked them in the nose and thought they were just a bit too hot and spicy in the taste. Worth checking out, especially if you like the normal one.
