just like with the blueberry one, i think the base beer here is really solid, its clean and bright and the salt aspect with the delicate wheat is excellent, but the fruit again does not taste natural to me, and the level of it is so high in the beer that it sort of runs over the base, which is a shame, because the fruit is frankly the least appealing part. i do think the mango is a little less in your face than the blueberry, and not so obviously an extract of some kind, but it has a bit of the same sort of cheap vibe from the fruit that the blueberry does, and its a turn off in a beer that really doesnt even need the fruit to be pretty good. the mango one is summery and not all that sour, i can see a real wide appeal for a beer like this, especially among those who are new to sour beer or dont like the taste of beer more generally, but with each sip i was disappointed with the amount and the nature of the mango in here, and would like to try the base gose on its own. some capacity for refreshment here still, but overall the fruit needs some work, possibly as simple as quality of ingredients or how much is used...

A - Hazy yellow body. Fine, but it poured with no real head, and no lacing. Not pretty, but not unpleasant.
S - Grain, sour and slightly sweet highlights. A bit of fruit in the sourness.
T - The mango is quiet, but present, offering a nice counterpoint of sweetness and lightly tart fruit that rides over the Gose base. The base is full of lactic and fermented grain notes, a bit of funk, and a well-hidden salt underpinning that makes the favors pop.
M - Brisk, with a bit of tartness, and a very clean finish.
O - I appreciate Triton's Gose chops. Their Barn Phantom is a fine version, and this is a very nice variation, offering a fruit note that underlines and supports the base beer's main virtues. Delicious.

The base Phantom Gose is a welcomed year-round beer here in Indy, and the two variants I've had do not disappoint (Blueberry was the other). This has a nice crisp finish with solid mango flavors throughout.
