Picked this beer up in Indiana a while ago, as I loved the name of it. No, I'm not a Star Wars fan and have no idea which movie is out in theaters now but the hemp drew me into this and it wasn't often that I am able to get a beer from the Hoosier State that's *not* Three Floyds. There was enough to like here as the hops used were not common (outside of Ciitra) and the hemp gave this a more natural, fibrous feel that softened this beer a bit...
Golden in hue with a fine sediment in it, this had a typical pour with enough head topping it off. Soapy lacing lingered as there weren't any rings visible in the midst of the suds. Dry and grainy hops could be felt in the nose as there was little juice, or burn that emerged in the nose. Earthy fiber, basic weed, pithy citrus rind, and grain came through in the taste as this beer had a rough and rustic undertone to it. I don't know what hemp tastes like as I've never seen it as an ingredient in a beer but if something was dry, durable, and full of miracle fibers, I'd guess that it would taste similar to this beer by Triton.
Not a lot of booze in this and there were hints of white wine and dank chocolate in the aftertaste once the last sip of this went down. Slick, natural, and subtly inviting, I can't say that I've had a beer like this although this left me wanting a bit more. The name was fun but the liquid had me wondering if I needed to use the force to truly find out what this beer's deal was...
