I tried this poured from the tap at the brewpub. It has a nice cloudy light golden color typical of the style, but the head isn't much at all, perhaps a function of the tap carbonation, otherwise looks okay. It has a nice banana and clovey smell to the nose, slight wheat malt scent and almost no hop aroma. It's very inviting. Wow! The taste is really good for a German Hefeweizen. The flavor is dominated by a banana taste, but the cloves and wheat malt are not to be ignored in the background. There is a nice subtle hop finish as well. The body is a smooth medium consistency, creamy, but still remains light. There is a very low amount of carbonation, as stated before, most likely a function of the tap carbonation.
Overall, I think this is a fine example of a Bavarian Hefeweizen. One of the better American versions of the style I've had. I also think this is probably the best beer that I had there that night. I could enjoy it pint after pint.

Sampled on draught @ the Olde Peninsula Brewpub in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Cloudy pale color. Nutty, peanut butter aromas, with hints of caramel and toffee, doughy yeast and a light hint of banana and clove. Flavor is really acidic, with an unpleasant sourness and funky barnyard flavors that I do not desire in a German Wheat. Light cookie and nutty malt, with a light hint of clove but pretty much just a thin sourness. Not very good, but wow, what an aroma.
