I had this on-tap while we were in Key West. Served in a standard pint glass.
Appearance: The beer pours a dark brown color with a layer of off white head that leaves a ring around the pour.
Smell: Tons of grain, the malt carries the smell. Some roast and mild vanilla notes along with some coconut.
Taste: More roast here than there was in the smell. I got more coconut as I worked my way through the glass. This isn't a very sweet beer, it's quite easy to drink.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with smooth carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: I liked the coconut note in this one. It went down very easily and I would probably have another.

Nice deep dark nearly black body with fluffy tan head. Nice head retention. Aromas were typical coffee/chocolate roasty malts. The flavor was nice and bitter, great hop presence for a porter. Coconut was there but barely noticeable. Might of been for the best because this was a well done hop forward porter. If i didnt know i may not of guessed there was coconut but i could taste a little on the lingering finish. Otherwise this was a great beer.

A: no real head on this one. Dark brown with red hues when held to the light. Nice lacing.
S: mocha and espresso with roasted malts and a very slight smokey note.
T: roasted malts and smokey with a slight mesquite note finishing with milk chocolate and mild coffee bitterness with the coconut coming at the very end.
M: medium body and moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: porters are growing on me. I like the coffee presence in this one while still maintaining the integrity of the genre.
