Very dark brown clear colour. Milk chocolate, malty raisin and date nose, graham cracker, and a little alcoholic and heavy. Gradually building burnt grain flavour which lingers long into the aftertaste, with a little, bittersweet chocolate. Not much else. Bitter burnt finish.

Appearance is dark but thinner than I expect from a stout. Minimal head to start but a tan halo always remains around the beer surface.
Not much aroma - and I sniffed really hard.
Taste is a pleasant surprise. Sweet chocolate and underlying hop flavor compliment a somewhat thin but satisfying mouthfeel.
Overall an enjoyable beer. Makes me wonder if a litter tweaking (or barrel aging) might do to it.
