This Russian Imperial Stour pours blacker than black with a thick tan head. Aromas of roast and dried fruit flavor fill the glass, and soft hints of rich dark chocolate and espresso character permeate a full body. It's like, how much more black can this be? The answer is none, None More Black.

This beer pours a deep black with medium sized head. The aroma features dark chocolate, licorice, brown sugar, and tobacco. The flavor is lovely and rich, with big brown sugar and roasty notes upfront. There are also notes of licorice, molasses, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is fairly full but not syrupy, with gentle carbonation. Overall this is a really nice big stout that does not stray into sweet territory.

A nice, solid Russian Imperial Stout. There's no real surprises here, but that's not always a bad thing either. Fargo Brewing does good beer, straight up. While there might be more exciting, more complicated Imperial Stouts out there, this one won't do you wrong.
