It decants hazy gold amber with an initial very active burst of fast rising bubbles under an offwhite thin foam cap with very little retention. Aromas of orange, spice and Tastie bread without the crust rise from the glass. Hop aromas are low, malt aromas are lof to medium low, and fruit aromas are medium low. Windswept starts with a light sweetness but then gets mildly tart quick highlighting citrus, orange and light wheat malt flavors. Malt flavors are medium low, added fruit and spice flavors are medium, tart flavors are medium, and hop flavors and bitterness are low. Aftertaste faintly suggests orange pop but the wheat flavors mellow this somewhat. A refreshing, drinkable light beer that could use a little more Belgian yeast character and a little less added orange.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a very cloudy yellowish orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Big two finger white head that fades away.

Smell: A wheat and spice driven aroma with hints of fruit and Belgian style spice. Belgian yeast with hints of clove, white pepper, and coriander. Wheat with bready hints of grains, cracker, and biscuit. Fruit hints of orange, lemon, and banana. A solid Wit aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and spicy wheat driven taste with notes of citrus and Belgian spices. Belgian yeast with some spice notes of white pepper, clove, and coriander. Juicy fruit notes of orange, lemon, and banana. Bready wheat notes of cracker, grains, and biscuit. A pretty nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Juicy, spicy, and very smooth.

Overall: A pretty solid take on a Belgian Wit. Nice juicy citrus presence with a very smooth body.

not a lot of local wits, and this has some nice features and some real character. from a very slick 12 oz. can into a tulip.

a: slightly hazy golden straw, with a big fluffy two finger head that subsides in a few minutes
s: least favorite part of this one...kind of sharp and sour wheat, with a hint of coriander and a little promise of orange
t & m: nice spiciness on the tongue right off the bat, lots of coriander, a little white pepper, but also balanced with some nice juicy orange...in fact, the juiciness is a nice surprise. Light but substantial body with lots of flavor. Finishes a little odd -- a little extra hit of coriander and pepper, and the threat of some tin -- but all in all, it is still very refreshing and tasty.

Nice light, easy drinking, Belgian style witbier. Very hazy pale golden color with minimal head and lacing. Spicy aroma from the coriander and the Belgian yeast. Solid wheat flavor base that is complimented by the yeast and coriander. The coriander is probably the biggest flavor but it isn't harsh and feels right in place within the beer. Light body with lively carbonation. Just what I want on a hot summer day. Goes down very quickly.

I had this on tap last year and really liked it and just found it in cans and bought a case. It is as good as a I remember. Probably my favorite easy available whit beer. Better than Blue Moon, Shocktop, Alaskan White.

Coriander and oranges combine for a great tasting whit. Body is light to medium. Nice texture. Just a well crafted whit top to bottom.

Update: The more I drink this the more I find it too unbalanced toward the coriander notes...dropping score from my original 4.5 down to whatever this comes out at.

Review added for 2016 batch, rating revised.

This beer pours a very pale straw with a large, fluffy head. The aroma offers up raw cereal, with a touch of clove and orange peel. The flavor offers up burnt orange, wood, uncooked grain, and some clove. The body is very light, with a flimsy, fizzy mouthfeel. Overall I must say I am still not a fan of this beer, it is dull and lifeless, with some unpleasnat flavors present. Drinkable, certainly, but not one I will reach for.
