Great Scott! 1.21 Gigahops is dominated by tropical fruit, citrus, and pine notes. Hops are added to the mash and first wort along with huge late hop additions and dry hopping with over seven pounds of hops per barrel. The result is an intensely hoppy beer that remains very drinkable. If you are going to make a double IPA...why not do it with some style?

Pours a dark orange with minimal head that quickly fades. Lacing clings to the glass all the way to the end.
Smell is fantastic! Nothing but tropical fruits, mango, guava, papaya, orange...
Taste follows the smell with excellent tropical fruitiness. There is not much hint of the 9.5 abv.
Mouthfeel is decent and about as expected for a dipa.
Overall a wonderful beer from Fargo Brewing Company, and the only one I buy cans of! Definitely worth seeking out!!

L: Poured from a can into a Speigelau glass. I'm worried - very little head. Thin white, paltry head formed - then I blinked and it was gone! Color is a ruby orange. Minimal lacing, but it doesn't matter.
S: Fantastic (!) explosive juicy hops! Got me salivating immediately!
T: Gorgeous hop/malt/alcohol balance. While there is an alcohol burn, I'm worried it could sneak up too much on this one - it's 9.5% and doesn't taste like it... Bitterness isn't too over-the-top for a 2x IPA. I'm really digging this one - some of the tropical hops without killing my sweet taste buds.
F: Medium dry with some carbonation. I think it's an appropriate balance for this beer. I really like the feel.
O: This is probably one of Fargo Brewing's best. I'll be getting more of this. This is a GREAT local double IPA. Well done, FBC.

Pours a nice dark caramel color with a 1 finger foam. Great smell. A little tingy on the tongue for the feel. Otherwise great smooth taste. Terrific beer.
