Dark brown appearance with 80 percent opacity. Head is creamy and beige, barely reaching 1 finger in my snifter here.
Strong aromas of the oak barrel and cabernet savignon. Malty aromas and caramel behind that. Figs and plums.
Flavor is powerful with both bright and dark fruits. Citrus. Plum. Candied raisin. Delicious. Warm alcohol but not hot on the finish. Delectable. The incorporation of both is hard to accomplish but is done so beautifully here.
Wet and creamy all the way down, mild carbonation.
My favorite offering from Fargo Brewing so far. This is definitely worth your time to check out.
