This beer pours a murky reddish brown with a smaller head. The aroma is sweet and spicy, with dried cherry, almost heading toward fruit roll-up, with cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, and allspice, and date. The flavor starts with sweet preserved cherry, then hits with a savory sweet twist of cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and mace, and finishing with a slight banan bread malt quality. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit sticky, with rather feeble carbonation. Overall an okay winter warmer - the flavors are certainly there, but the sweetness is a bit much, and the mouthfeel is lacking.
