This was a prize winning beer at the Groningen beerfestival. I bought this bottle in Bodegraven, just before we went to the Borefts festival. Mar02x pointed this beer out to me.
Drank this tripel together with a homemade pizza.
Good head with a golden cloudy fluid. Hints of orange and citrus. Light carbonation.
A bit sweet but with a very nice aftertaste,
Good beer.

This Triple is what I got recommend at the Mithra, a Dutch liquor store chain. It was my first time at the Mitra, just to look at the range. In most Dutch liquor store have a very limited and simple beer selection, but here I was pleasantly surprised.
The Peerd triple is designed by amateur brewer Tijs Sijbring. He earned his spot on the shelves of all national branches of Mitra. He managed to beat eight other amateur brewers on a Beer Festival in Groningen, where on April 16 last, won the contest for the best Groningen Triple.
A - A golden hazy blond with a nice, just a bit off white, head. That quickly turns in to a molten layer. No carbonation visible through the glass.
S - Deliciously fruity and sweet but also notes of orange, vanilla and used yeast were observed.
T - A sweet and bitter beer with a nice fruitiness. Also used spices like coriander are present. A good full taste, nothing wrong here at all.
M - The body feels full and creamy with a medium carbonation. It's a easy sipper.
O - On the whole a good complex beer thats easy to drink. I will buy this again and again. It is one of the better triples out there. There are some matches with the Hoegaarden Grand Cru. Which is also a very excellent beer.
