Poured from 30 cL bottle into Maallust chalice at Meerwold in Groningen. Marked best by 3/2015 on the bottle.
A: Pours a hazy orange-yellow hue with 1/2 inch white head that quickly dissipates. (3.75)
S: Orange zest, white pepper, mild funk, lightly toasted malt, and a hint of earthy minerals. (4)
T: Orange zest, white pepper, fresh yeast funk, coriander and cinnamon notes, and a hint of musty minerals. (4)
M: Light-medium body; drinks lighter than ABV would suggest. Lightly sweet and spicy. Refreshing. Just a faint hint of bitterness in the finish. (4.25)
D: A solid example of style. Nicely refreshing with a fair amount of complexity. Not outstanding, but pairs very well with a meal (mussels, salmon, and steak). (4)

An orange golden beer with a settling head. The beer is a little hazy.
The smell is typical a Belgian strong blonde with notes of mild solvent, pear, pineapple and ripe bananas. There are notes of noble hops, that are also herbal.
Taste is along the lines of the smell, a big Belgian taste, with the exotic fruits all over the place, mostly ripe bananas and solvent, but also pear and pineapple. The beer has a estery profile with ester giving body to the beer, however the beer tastes like a good dose of sugar is used. The beer has a nice bitterness to balance the big yeast character.

Golden color, with an average head and lacing. Lots of floating bits in it.
Smell: little hop and hop related fruitiness, earthy and malts.
The taste is semi sweet, bitter with hop and malt tones
The mouthfeel is a bit dry, the body is pretty strong, an average lingering aftertaste with earthy, bitter elements
Overall: A good beer, but on the save side.

Local dutch brewery here. A good first time encounter for me.
The beer names I'm trying have funny references with justice: the brewery is located in a town well known in Netherlands for it's prison.
Dark golden, with thin head and little lacing, and lots of floaty bits.
Smell bready, citrus , earthy, floral.
Taste powerfull and balanced between the sweet malts and the bitterness. 9% Alcohol is pretty well covered, I must say.
Clean, semi dry finish. Very nice overall.
