Pours a light copper with a white head. Too much head for the style, which is describe as a 'Pale Ale Reinterpretation'. Not really a English pale Ale I assume. The beer was under pressure and I spilled a little bit. Fair lacing. Reasonable retention in my not too clean glass. Yeast in the bottle, also not as it should be I believe.
It smells of sweet malts. A hard to describe sweet fruity smell, raisins (the more juicy ones). Yes, lots and lots of raisin like fruits in here. Prehaps the tiniest hint of skunk. Light hops. With the yeast added it smells a little more 'soapy'.
It tastes rather sweet too biscuity malts with a nice sweetness. Raisins and caramel I believe (but I am not a very good taster). Before I added the yeast I felt as if something was missing but with the yeast it is better. Some tartness, green apple prehaps. Lacking in the hops department.
Mouthfeel is medium, slightly creamy and with medium/a tad low carbonation.
Quite a nice beer but is this supposed to be a pale ale? I don't know, the bottle fermentation and the sweetness remind me more of a Scotch Ale or something than of a Pale Ale (either American of English).

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
