Tried this on-tap at the Harmony House locaton. A decent, but around average, IPA in my opinion. Golden to copper in color. Somewhat on the thin side. Flavor of hops, but nothing interesting enough worth noting. There are a lot of amazing IPA's out there these days. This one is good, but in the vast world of competition, it's nothing I would write home to mom about.

Solid IPA.
Slightly dark orange color. Bright white lacing

Smells exactly the same as when I open a bag of Citra hops and smell the fresh hop essence. Perfect.

Moderate bitter throughout the tasting, accompanied with with a bright herbal hop flavor. Not just Citra in my opinion. Great pairing of hops.
Slight sweetness to accentuate the hops but keeps things drinkable and fairly light.

Mouthfeel isn't watery at all, nor is it heavy or thick. Great IPA.

Final verdict: If I could buy this in the store I would. If it was canned I would always bring a few camping and on the boat. One my top 5 IPA's for Michigan. Top 2 for Grand rapids.

Served on-tap at Harmony Brewing Co.

Appearance is a dark orange with lots of creamy tan colored head. Excellent head retention and lacing.

Smell is dominated by hints of pine and citrus.

Taste is similar, but the bitterness seems to overpower the sweet malt flavors. The taste doesn't pop as much as some other IPAs (like Founders Centennial).

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Not unusual for an IPA, but not my favorite either.

Overall a solid American IPA, but not a destination beer either. Note that the batches brewed at Harmony are relatively small, so the character of a beer can change considerably over a couple of weeks.
