Had on tap. Garnett murky body with hints of brown shading, white collar. Floral notes lead the nose with light caramel and dark fruit, but very faint. Taste is very similar, less dark fruit and more banana, both are explained by the watery body, yeast is the only texture that is noteworthy. Watered down dubbel, not worth seeking out

I had this once and had an infected batch, which was ABSOLUTELY atrocious (I gave it a 1.88 on BA); however, I recently had the brew again and it was delicious. The beer had wonderful deep flavors of dried fruit, with a figlike aroma and a smooth finish. The beer was par for the course for the dubbel style, and while not overwhelming, was very good. I worry about the inconsistency of the beer between batches, but if you get it on the right day, Starstuff is delicious!
