This traditional seasonal lager has a malty, toasty character with a mild hop bitterness in the finish. Amber in color, medium-bodied and very smooth from a long lagering process.

Tasted on tap at the BJ's in Beavercreek, OH in Oct 2024 (from notes).
Beautiful amber/orange color and crystal clear. Thin ring of off-white lace around the glass. Aroma is faint, but I get sweet malt and a whiff of toasted grain. Flavor is of sweet, caramel malt, lacking in the subtlety and drinkability expected. Some noble hops spiciness as well. Thin body, gentle carbonation and mild hops bite. This is enjoyable, but not a great example of the style, due to the overly sweet maltiness. If you told me this was an amber brewed with an ale yeast, I could believe it.

Pours, looks, feels like a Oktoberfest marzen. A bit less sweet than some, but a solid effort.

Had on tap at their Westminster CO location, I think it's brewed here?
On arrival a 1.5 finger fine white head was present that slowly recedes with pretty dang good retention that sits at a thick covering. Body is a brown amber with active fine carbonation.
Aroma is pretty neutral with a light, sweet roasted malt. Very clean but has some light fermentation notes that compliment the malt. Pretty light smell
Taste is a bit bigger and has a bit of an American twist going on here with some bigger bitter hops in the mix. The hips are just bittering, and they lead into a nice caramel malt with a hint of dry fig on the very end. A nice end to a night here.
Feel is drinkable and lighter than everything else would suggest. A medium finish but a relatively neutral mouthfeel that's just a bit heavier than water. The carbonation is fine but has a bit of bite and overall it's quite drinkable.
Overall this is a decent tale on oktoberfest marzen beer with a big bitter bite. Clean and drinkable with caramel malts and a bit of figgy sweetness. Pretty good.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear orange amber color with a one finger head of off-white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a decent sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a very doughty smell mixed with some light sweeter notes of caramel. Along with these aromas comes a decent showing of a light toast smell as well as a touch of mustiness and a bit of herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a lightly toasted bready flavor mixed with notes of a light caramel and harvest fruit sweetness. Along with these tastes comes some notes of a doughiness and a hint of toffee. The sweet flavors of caramel and toffee are lighter upfront, but they grow stronger as the taste advances all at the loss of the harvest fruit tastes. At the same time, the breadiness get a bit stronger and is joined by some lighter flavors of grass and hay, to take the taste profile to its end and leaving one with a
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thicker side for a brew of only 5.6 % with a carbonation level that is rather average to slightly lower. For the flavor profile and the more malty nature of the brew the feel is rather well done and helps coat the tongue in the subtle, yet well blended and appreciable tastes.
Overall – A decent Oktoberfest overall. A little heavier on the malt side, but still rather easy drinking nonetheless.

This is an incredibly crisp beer with a fantastic taste and flavors. It is not overpowering and it is extremely drinkable. It is a little filling but it is so refreshing you forget about it.

Look was spot on, medium amber/orange, crystal clear, with a moderate white head. Smell was slightly sweet, spicy, dark toasted bread, molasses, and some dried fruit, but none were overpowering. The taste was similar to the smell, very balanced. I really liked this and I would buy it in the store if I could. I couldn’t find anything wrong with this one.
