Had on tap at BJ's pub/restaurant in Polaris (Columbus, OH). I heard they ship it from AZ since they don't have a brewing license here.
Pale straw color, extremely clear, aroma dominated by malts. The flavor had a bit of hops bite, giving it some bitterness which was nice. But the aftertaste wasn't as pleasant as the benchmark from Hofbrauhaus, but was good nonetheless.
This was a reliable enough maibock, I just didn't think it was as good as BJ's more flavorful beers (Tatonka stout and the hefeweizen).

This was an excelent offering from B.J's in Grossmont Center. The beer poured a good golden color with a nice white pillowy head that left very good lace down the glass. The smell was pretty malty with a slight buttery sweetness to it. The flavor was a huge supprise with a very hoppy flavor uncommon to other Bock beer's I've had. I dare say it was even pale ale-like. Add that with a very sturdy Bock-like malt backbone and this made for a very interesting brew. Good job B.J.'s. Highly recommended.
