On draught at BJ’s in Columbia, MD.
A straw colored pour with Thin head, and spotty lacing. Pleasant banana clove flavor, hints of citrus.
Nicely carbonated with a sort of banana tapioca aftertaste. A nicely done Hefe.

Tasted on tap at the BJ's in Beavercreek, OH in Oct 2024 (from notes).
This is a heavily flawed beer. The aromas and flavors are totally obscured by a sweet funkiness that could be a poorly maintained tap line or maybe a serious fermentation problem. It's not even worth reviewing the other aspects of the beer because this flaw drowns out everything else.

Draft at the brewpub
Light foamy head with lower retention, clear pale orange color, way too clear
Nose sweet wheat and cake batter, citrus, plenty of generic fruity esters, hint of banana
Taste mild wheat doughy malt, cake batter, citrus and generic fruity esters again, some banana bread, phenol spices a bit of bitterness
Mouth is light a bit thin and watery, med carb
Overall eh, it has the components but feels like they watered it down

Pours shady gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of tropical fruits and floral notes. Taste is grains and bananas. No hoppy bitterness. Crisp and dry.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is very hazy orange-yellow color with a tall billowy white head. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very strong of a wheaty smell mixed with a decent showing of an orange zest and some hay, along with a odd somewhat soapy like aroma ( I know its not the glass it was freshly washed. There is a little bit of a clove and coriander smell there as well giving a soapy hefe smell overall.
Taste – The tastes begins with a moderately strong wheat bread taste that is mixed with a sweeter orange and tangerine taste as well as a touch of a candied sugar like flavor and a bit of a clove taste. As the taste advances the wheaty tastes get slightly lighter while the sweet gets stronger. At the same time a little bit of coriander joins a bit of an increase in the clove and with a touch of a grass and hay, and leaves one with a sweet, but pleasant moderately wheaty and lightly spiced hefe taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is somewhat thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is on the average side. For the sweeter tastes and easy drinking flavors the feel is great and makes for a nice easy sipper overall.
Overall – A very easy drinking hefe overall. A little on the sweeter side, and a little lighter on the wheat and spice, but very flavorful and pleasant.
