Appearance: Copper colored body with a minimal foam collar...almost no trace of lacing to be found.
Aroma: A reluctant nose due to the lack of a proper collar of foam...with time (and warming) a malty nose finally came forth.
Taste: Very nice malt variety spring forward with very little in the hop department to balance it out.
Mouthfeel: Both biscuity and buttery...a very good representation of the style.
Drinkability: A very nice all-day sipper.
This is BJ's copy of the famous Anchor Steam beer brewed in San Francisco and it derves its purpose well.
