Mahogany / red body with a creamy light tan collar of foam. Clarity is excellent, especially for a cask beer. Malty sweetness bursts forth upon the nose, nicely backed up by the Magnum hops.
The tongue is bathed in roasted malt glory upon entry...a feature that multiplies all the way through the midtaste without rest. Magnums usher in the finish with a floral bite which quickly acquiesce to a smooth malt finish.
Although this particular cask was five days old, oxidation was minimal and the mouthfeel rich and chewy for this cask version of the Nutty Brewnette.
