The straight-side Libbey pint glass allowed just the smallest amout of light through this cask-conditioned stout. A full finger of creamy tan foam communicates hops...and lots of them.
Entry is loaded with alcohol esters which segway into a bitter malt midtaste. Alcohol is the story for the finish, with a crisp hop bite immediately following.
This brew becomes a tad harsh around mid-pint with the ethanol simply standing in the way of total beer enjoyment.
