This cask offering began life as BJ's Jeremiah Red...so in the words of Phil (the Brewer), "There was plenty of substance for the yeast to work on." The result?
A caramel-colored offering with outstanding clarity and a complex fruity nose set off by floral hop notes and a gentle reminder that alcohol was present.
Entry is sweet and dry with hints of both peach and cherry evident in the midtaste. At various points of the journey through this pint alcohol asters take a moment to stand and become more noticable.
True to its name, this cask is dry-hopped with Simcoes, lending a distinct aroma to the nose and a delightful hop note to the finish.
