In grand "west-coast" style, the Green Flash brewing team joins forces with BJ's Brewhouse for a dry and hoppy taste that shares its bitterness nationwide. Hop Pact is a perfect choice for spicier fare on BJ's menus.
Hop Pact flows onto the nose with a bright citrus and pine bouquet, and with a soft pillowy caramel scent. Bright copper in its appearance, the brilliant clarity floats a magical creamy white froth. With the ale's sweetness gracing the tongue, its camels stem into more savory toasty tastes of graham cracker and granola.
As the middle palate unfolds, the caramel gradually relaxes and the hops build steam. Pink grapefruit and the radiancy of torn pine needles overtake the malts and lead to a deep and resinous bitterness. Light sun tea, herb and a playful grassy quality enveops the session and offers a spicy and sweet breadiness over the session.
Medium-bodied, creamy and hop-balanced, the finish is dry, bitter and deep with the same grassy and resinous grip that is suggested in the flavor. Light grit from rye offers its own spicy, bitter interplay that props up the hops and gives a rusticity to the caramel malts- perfect for BJ's Spicy Buffalo Grilled Cheese sandwich.
