Deep copper sown south, while transluscent up north...this arrived capped with a full finger of creamy light tan foam.
The nose is coy, barely showing malt, but backed up with hints of alcohol.
Entry is slightly chocolaty as the malt makes its first appearance. The midtaste reveals earthiness and a warming mouthfeel. The finish is pure sweetness, quickly followed by solvent-like alcohol on the back of the throat.
Based on BJ's Jeremiah Red, this cask began life with plenty of fermentables...and it really shows in the final product...
