Hazy chestnut brown with reddish streaks around the edges of a straight-sided pint glass. Light tan collar of foam collapses into a frothy ring around the rim. Aroma is nutty...to the point where I asked the server if possibly this had been mis-poured. Backdrop of the nose consists of molasses and BJ's house yeast.
Entry is quiet...almost devoid of carbonation. Midtaste features a roasty malt backbone with hints of molasses and dark red cherries. The finish features a long slow fade of honey, followed by yeast and molasses.
Let me pair this with Pot Roast or Ribs...
