Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a deep amber color with one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time and leaving a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma was heavy of a wheat bread and honey aroma, mixed with lots of prickly pear and some herbal smells. Along with these aromas comes a bit of caramel and a touch of hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a mix of wheat and grain mixed with a decent showing of prickly pear and a vegetal like flavor. Other flavors of honey and caramel are there as well, getting stronger as the taste advances. Throughout the wheat gets stronger and is joined by more prickly pear and some herbal and vegetal flavors. These tastes take the taste to the end where they leave one with a somewhat odd, wheaty and sweet grainy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly more heavy with a carbonation level that is lower. Just decent for the style, although I would have liked a bit more carbonation.
Overall – Ah, just OK. Nothing that I would do again.

Fruity pear taste with no smell whatsoever. Hazy golden color with a smooth taste and very clean finish. Didn’t like this beer at first but it really grows on you and it’s very light for being 6.4%.

On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger head that doesn't leave lacing. Nose of honey and wheat. Taste picks up the honey and wheat but misses the prickly pear. Medium body and medium carbonation.
I like prickly pear but they missed it in this one. Good feel and they should've just called it a honey wheat.
