I have limited experience with sour beers, so having a sour beer on cask is an interesting proposition for me. I consumed a pint from the hand pump of this rare style, so on to the beer:
The beer arrived a dark brown with zero head and a watery appearance. The aroma helps make up part of the slack with some toffee, brown sugar, and a little bit of sour funk. At first taste, the sourness is somewhat strong, but it mellows out. Caramel becomes detectable to the palate, and there is a sharp hoppy finish to the beer. With little carbonation, the beer is a bit flat, but smooth without any abrupt carbonation. One pint is enough of this beer given the sourness you're working with.
Not sure what an authentic Oud Bruin is suppose to be like, so I gave this a conservative rating.
