The pour is a dark amber reddish color with a little head and carbonation. The nose provides complex malt characters, citrus with hints of floral and minerals. The Taste is a good malt make up of roasted and caramelized. hint of hops and citrus. A warming beer going down. The finish is a hint of sweetness and a note of bitterness.

This beer was pretty god awful and astringent.

Pours a weak head with little retention and an amber color.

Smell is faint of caramel malts, but it'd be quite a stretch for me to post any real identifiable smells.

Taste is of caramel malts that are masked by a nasty dry astringency with a small citrusy hop bitterness. Their is some dms as well.

The mouthfeel is mainly just astringent with a low carbonation (nothing like a real bock should be).

Don't bother with this beer.

Copper pour and clear. No head. Mild nutty and dusty chocolate like nose to it. Some cocoa powder as well. Taste is slightly creamy, yet slightly chalky. Flavor is thin, and mild, yet refreshing, and some cocoa I thought. Unlike any other heller bock I've had, but actually more enjoyable for me although probably not very representative of the style. Simple, thin and drinkable, but not offensive.

Visited this place for lunch, tried this one first. There were lots of good-looking choices. This beer is a coppery brown color with a small head. It had an aroma of malt and caramel. The taste was almost all malt; the caramel kind of gets lost. A very smooth, almost chewy beer. Would have had another, but wanted to try some others in case I don't get back again.

The color is a dark caramel amber with a rather small head. The aroma consists of a simple, but inviting toasted malt aroma. The taste is almost entirely of full-bodied, lightly toasted caramel malt flavor. A light sprinkling of dry hops comes into play towards the end of a sip. I enjoyed this full-flavored bock, usually when I order a bock at a brewpub in Texas it ends up being a slightly improved Shiner clone, but this is the real deal, or at least a very good American interpretation.
